In February, we launched the survival program in Jaribuni sub-county in Kilifi County. This program has changed the quality of life of some of the members of that community.

The purpose of the intervention was to aid mothers and babies, particularly below five years old, as they were facing numerous challenges. For instance, mothers were not exclusively breastfeeding their babies, and there was low attendance at antenatal and postnatal clinics.

Neema, a single mother of one, has been able to reap the benefits of joining the program. With church support and the survival program, she has devoted herself to working hard and changing her life situation. She got lessons on practical childcare to ensure the good health of both her and her baby. In addition, she learnt ways to generate income and pray for her baby.
