The Compassion International Kenya team celebrated the graduation of some of its program participants in Tharaka Nithi from primary and high school. This milestone represents the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of compassionate sponsors and committed staff.

The graduation ceremonies are moments of celebration and reflection. They are a testament to the power of collaborative effort towards positively shaping lives. For children born into poverty, accessing education can often seem like an unattainable dream. However, through the Child Sponsorship Program, the children are provided with a lifeline of hope, empowering these young minds with the tools they need to break free from the cycle of poverty. The graduation ceremony was a chance to recognize and appreciate the caregivers, the Frontline Church Partner, and the community who supported the children throughout their transformative journey. Those who excelled in primary school received new smartphones to help them develop digital skills, while those who excelled in high school and gained immediate access to university were awarded new laptops to help them navigate the fast-paced digital world.

At the event, the National Director, Samuel Wambugu highlighted “Looking ahead, Compassion International remains committed to continuing its work in providing quality education and holistic development to children in need. The graduations serve as a reminder of the possible positive change when individuals and communities come together with compassion and a shared vision for a better world.”
