Compassion’s Gift Support Transforming Peter’s Family Life.
When Peter was just 15 years old, a sponsored youth of the program from the Redeemed Gospel Church Masongaleni, he took the initiative to use the support given to him to make a lasting difference for his family.

Peter lives with his parents and sister in a region known for its dry climate, where agriculture and livestock farming are the primary sources of income. Like many families in the area, Peter’s family faced significant struggles. Like many men in the region, his father often had to leave home for employment. Life was tough, with the family needing more essential resources such as livestock, a secure home, and sufficient school fees.

Peter’s relationship with his sponsor has been deeply enriching, built on mutual care, respect, and encouragement. Through letters filled with Bible verses and words of inspiration, his sponsor provided emotional support and tangible resources that transformed Peter’s life. The support Peter’s family received went beyond basic needs like clothing and school supplies. They were provided with goats, cows, chickens, and improvements to their home, such as electrical wiring. These gifts have had a positive impact in several ways:

Today, Peter is a happier, more confident young man with hope for the future. His family’s improved financial situation allows them to focus on growing their livestock business. At the same time, Peter concentrates on his studies, working toward his dreams with his mother managing the livestock, and his father continues to work hard to support the family’s future goals. Peter’s story is a testament to the life-changing impact of Compassion’s gift support program. What started as a relationship based on care and biblical encouragement has blossomed into a story of economic empowerment and hope. Peter’s family now enjoys improved living conditions, food security, and the prospect of a brighter future.
